Overdenture
Retention of that “floating” lower denture can be anchored with as few as 2 implants leading to a vast improvement in chewing function and give the wearer more confidence in public. No more worries that you denture is going to come loose at the wrong time. This procedure can be accomplished in as little as 10 weeks up to 6 months depending on individual conditions.
Fixed Appliance
Some times referred to as ‘all on 4’, this treatment will restore a patient’s function closest to that of their own natural teeth. Most times these appliances can be placed at the same appointment as extractions. Our patients leave with anchored teeth in most instances. These appliances will be of a temporary nature until all healing has occurred so that accurate impressions can be made of the healed ridge and tissue for a better long term fit. A soft diet will be necessary for the first half of healing and must be adhered to for success of your restoration.
Single Tooth Implants
A single tooth can be replaced with an implant and a crown. One of the most conservative ways of replacing a missing tooth. No restoration of adjacent teeth is necessary for retention of the replacement crown. Even more important when adjacent teeth are pristine.
An implant is the absolute best way to replace a tooth at the very back of existing teeth with no natural tooth behind the missing tooth. Since a back anchor tooth is not available, a “bridge” is not a viable option. Multiple teeth can be replaced permanently with as few as 2 implants.
